I thought about A. sp. aff. cacatuoides "Aquiry". The Rio Acre is called Rio Aquiry by those Peruvian locals who use the the Iñapari language, a critically endangered indigenous language spoken by very few people now in Perú.....

A very good and "correct" proposal, Mark! I really hope this could be the base for the final name, when you'll describe it, in a few years!

A. sp. "Superorbital" sounds cool

I must admit I found this spectacular (Definition of the adjective "spectacular" : beautiful in a dramatic and eye-catching way.).

So: Apistogramma sp. "Superorbital" (Río Acre) it is!
