Do you know what they were feeding them before? All my apisto's eat flake food pretty good, have you tried any live baby brine shrimp?

It is possible that your A. baenschi are imported from the wild. I have found that wild fish tend to ignore dry foods (flakes/pellets) at the start. I just feed frozen and live foods for the most part. However, I found even my picky fish will eat Bug Bites made by Fluval. This is the first dry food I found in decades that my apistos will willingly eat.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
