apistogramma agassizi tank size

I have an established 10 gallon tank that is mildly planted and I was wondering if a pair of apistogramma agassizi would live comfortably in a tank that size? What should the water parameters be for best health and breeding? One last question I waswondering about is would apistogramma agassizi be a good beginners apisto because im fairly new to dwarf cichlids. Any info would be appreciated!
