Apisto sp. Winkelfleck Dithers?

hello all,
I have recently acquired some sp. Winkelfleck, and have not been able to find much info on them, other than they have yet to be scientifically identified. I have them in 6.5 pH and around 3-4 deg kh and gh. All else zero except trace nitrates for live plants. Currently I have 5 Winkelfleck, 3 bristlenose, 10 oto cats, and 6 zebra danios (as dithers). The danios are too fast and eat all the flakes before they can fall to the apistos, so i looked into other dithers at my lfs. The best choices turned out to be black phantom tetras, or lemon tetras. Any input on any of the above species would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It really depends on whether or not you want to reproduce your Winkelfleck.

For breeding, remove the bristlenose plecos (egg eaters) and use dithers recommended in other posts on the forum. Do a search here. It's been discussed many, many times.

yeah, I've seen many different threads about dithers. Just wasn't sure how the tetras would do with the fry.. And my lfs doesn't carry pencilfish. but thanks for the input.

I have used neon tetras and harlequin rasboras as dithers. Never have had a problem. Just don't put too many in the tank.

thank you for the reply, I have seen no issue as of yet with the black phantoms.. I have 2 male and 2 female tetras, and all 5 apistos seemed to how dominance the moment I put the tetras in
