Well i have had my Fresa 3 weeks and for the first 2 weeks I never saw the male or the female.

But last sunday there was the male struting his stuf and the female was in her tube with a batch of eggs and today they are free swiming.

I got the fish from a friend he had already spawned them about 5 times. They are a wild pair and i also have about twenty of there other fry.

I can not be exact on the ph but less than 6.5 and less than 50ppm hardness. The tank was set up two day in advance of the fish arriving. A large number of oak leafs where placed in the tank for that time and removed before the fish where added. The was 50% RO filtered though peat and 50% straight RO.
