I heard that Apisto's will develop extraordinary finnage when living in soft water, but my question is..Do they have to be raised in soft water as juveniles to get them or will they still develop them as adults?

Finniage?

Hello Raul, some Apisto's develope very high fins such as Trifaciatas. IME The fish that I grow out in soft water Ph of 5.0 The fins grow longer than the fish that i keep in Ph 6.5-7.0. You have to raise them in soft water to develope the long finnage. Hope this helps. Vue
