Apisto cacatuoides

I just recieved a male and 3 unsexed siblings of A. cacatuoides from a breeder in my local fish club. I think their tripple reds, but I am not sure. The male has all the markings of a tripple red, but the colorations in his fins are black and bright yellow/orange so I'm not sure. If I had a camera I would post a pic of him for proper ID, but I dont have one so I cant. LOL If anyone can fill me on on what type they might be I'd appreciate it.

I need some information on spawning and care for these fish as the only apistos I have had before were Rams as pets & I never tried to breed those. I would like to try and breed these so please if you have any information fill me in.

Thanks for the info. It does help a bit.

I found out that my apistos are from an F2 wild male x tripple red female cross, but the reds never come out in any of the spawns, only a bright yellow to orange shade. Very interesting I think. The 3 unknowns are actually females and one has already spawned with the male before they were sent so they'll probably do it again once their settled in. Their soo little that I didnt even think they would be near spawning age. LOL
