There is no species 'blue flame'; i know of two species that have colour morph 'blue flames'. You should provide the species though given this information you would probably be best off with 1 male and 1 female.
The species is agassizi - blue flame if a colour; anyway i would go with 1m and 1f; btw my solo male agassizi is aggressive and has a well defined territory in a 180 gallon (nearly ~4 times the floor space).
Also if you do not intend on breeding i would go with the male without the female.
It really depends on how the tank is decorated. With proper decor that provides distinct visual territorial boundaries I would expect that you could get 4 territories, possibly more. For breeding purposes, 1 male and 3 females. For a community situation, 4 males of similar size and temperament and different species with different body shapes and finnage.
