Hi there,

You're male is a male Apistogramma bitaeniata. The female I'm not 100% sure but also looks like a sub dominant male A. bitaeniata. Certainly not A. cacatuoides in both cases.

Great, more wrong cichlids! At least they are apistogrammas. Are these rare? Aggressive?

The pic I labeled female is likely a sub male? No way a young female?

They are both male bita from Peru.

bita is a typical species of Apisto which is mildly aggressive...
