anubias question

I was curious as to whether all anubias prefer to be planted in driftwood or rocks, like a. nana, or if some of the other species would do better planted in the substrate. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this. :)

I actually have most of my anubias (coffeefolia, barteri, frateri) resting on the substrate so the rhizome is above the substrate but the roots can go stay above or dig in as they choose. I also have some on driftwood and a miniature nana growing up my filter intake tube (a dot or two of superglue works wonders to attach them and is completely non-toxic once cured). As long as the rhizome isn't under the gravel, I think you can do whatever you want.

It doesn't matter where you plant the anubius as long as the rhizome is not covered by any form of substrate. So if you would like to put anubius near the bottom of the tank, you'd probably want to use rocks to keep them anchored. And if u'd like them on your driftwood, then tie them on to the driftwood. Where you put them depends on the aquascape you want to setup.
