 Well I got my shipments of fish. The original one and the replacements For DOAs. So now I have a pretty fair collection of Dwarf Cichlids to satisfy my addiction for now 7 Apistogramma borelliis 3 pr and 1 single male, 1 pr Apistogramma bitaeniata, 1 pr Nannacara anamola, 3 Laetacara dorsigera, and 1 pr German blue rams plus 60+ of there fry. They are spread out in 3 20 gals and 2 10 gals. The borelliis dorsigera and Nannacaras are still small 3/4 to 1 1/4 in size the rams full grown and bitaeniata 2 1/2 in size. They are all doing great exploring fronting each other and such just love em. Sincerely Curtis

May the fish not only arrive and be coming, but also do what naturally happens in between, truly happy couples and couplings.

The nannacara and laetacara can be quite chunky fish, hope you are ready to make room for them when they grow up.

While I don't have any experience with the dorsigera variety, I have kept the curviceps, they are quite peaceful.

The nannacara anomola, however, females can be little tyrants when guarding fry.

Good luck with your fish, and have fun.

:)

:) Hi Matt Thanks for headsup. Your write about the dorsegeras being chunky They are on the larger side of the dwarf cichlid size wise. My girl friedn has 3 and they are about 5 1/2 inches. Didnt know hers were dorsigers till I got mine. The cool thing mine were free there was a mix up on my order and they sent them instead of N.anamolas. I got them and the anamolas together in the same 20gal no probs. so far. Sincerely Curtis

you really need to watch the agression between the female against the male when she's guarding and consider pulling him. they breed quite easily and will raise fry in medium hard water. tank needs to be securely covered, or you could lose your male due to jumping. the other fish will just stay away. i think you should be ok with those 2 species in the same tank, i hope it's a 20 long.

Your girlfriend either has incrediblely giant L. dorsigera or they are something else. I have never heard of dorsiger growing over 3½"/8.5 cm.

there are a few dorsigera- type fish that grow considerably larger. maybe your g-f's fish are another species. rick
