Agissizii Tail Type's?

Call me slow, dim or whatever but I've come to notice 3 different tail type on A. agissizii's 1)a rounded tip lancette, 2)a nice triangular lancette and 3)a kind of pinched in triangle lancette. I was just wondering is this an age thing (ie developes through all 3) or just different tail types that vary just like colour types vary?

Age does have a lot to do with the length of the caudal fin, but some populations (probably different species) have different shaped fins, too.
