Usually pretty well. They are quite different fish. Nothing is impossible, but them inbreeding is close to it. In an appropriate-sized tank, they should be pretty good tankmates!

Well, I doubt it. A.cacatuoides is from white water rivers of Amazon where the PH is between 7 and 8 while A.agassizii is from black water rivers where the ph is below 6. I don't think these two will fit in one tank. Maybe tank bred ones will adapt to wider water conditions.
