A. papagei or not?

While watching some pictures of female A. papagei, I noticed that my females look nothing like them.
They act normal towards the males though, and I'm sure they're A. papagei.

The females:

Are these A. papagei or not?

Are these domestic bred fish? They really don't quite look like A. papagei. I could be wrong. The photos are rather small and not very good for ID purposes.

I have no idea actually. I guess they're domestic bred.

I'll try to make some better photos today.
This is a photo of the same fish on the fourth photo (made by the previous owner of the fish):

Well the top photo looks more like Papagei (the other photos show a weird color cast due to bad white balance (color temperature selection) by your camera). Still not as colorful and a bit more robust than the typical wild Papagei. If these are domestic fish there is a possibility that they are a cross between Papagei and one of the closely related species. Both A. sp. Pebas & Roca Eterna have deeper bodies, like your fish. On the other hand, your fish could just be showing that it's being well/overly fed. Now what do the females look like?

These are the females (I edited the photos a bit, this is what they look like in reality):

They do get quite alot of food, due to my young angelfish.
My A. agassizii male is huge (around 10 cm) and a bit fat too.

Really? They don't act like males towards the male 'papagei' or agassizii...
They have even shown mating behavior towards each other.

Maybe it is indeed the weird result of a cross between A. papagei/sp. Pebas/sp. Roca Eterna?

If not, do you have any idea what the 'females' could be?

So... Than maybe they're young males, or pretending to be females?
To be honest, I don't think they look like females at all, it is just their behavior that makes me think they're females.

I'll contact the store, maybe they let me exchange them for 2 real females.
