Congratulations Lukasz, I love your skeletonized Magnolia leaves. I'm hoping to collect some this weekend, if it isn't too snowy.

How many alder cones (Alnus glutinosa) do you use per litre?

How many alder cones (Alnus glutinosa) do you use per litre?

I don't have any ratio for it. To 50 liters tank I put around handful of alder cones.

About 1 Alder Cone per every 2 liters will definitely give you stained water. If that isn't enough to suit your taste then use a few more.
They vary just how much color they can tint from batch to batch so start low and work your way up.
My local Alder Cones seem strong and just one per 4 liters has a strong effect.

I prefer Cattapa leaves as my "black water" agent and they have the added advantage of providing the leaf litter Apistogramma spp like.
I haven't ever tried Magnolia leaves so I don't know how they compare to Cattapa leaves and Alder Cones.
