Technically, she is not filter-feeding; she is eartheating - common for apistos.

Filterfeeding in aquatic animals is taking organisms out to the water collumn. Eartheating is sifting through the substrate, extracting the food particals, and returning the substrate to the bottom either by spitting it out of the mouth or releasing it through the opercula.
