I wonder if it's a matter of feeding or selective breeding?
I have seen a picture of such colorfull gibbiceps only once before. It is in latest DATZ special edition, we all referring to. Fish pictured there was descibed as breeding form. If think it is a matter of both methods - selective breeding for getting "enhanced" colours and special feeding (cyclops, bbs or its mature forms) for making them more intensive.

No doubts blueblue has another nice fish with (as usuall) good photo.

I must say, I'm quite taken by this species. It is my favorite one so far to keep. Great pics :) Blueblue!

Thanks Sam. It is the first time i kept this kind of German red-head Gib.
I am really looking forward to their F1 and see if the red head can be inherited :)

Thanks Greg PL, hmm... it is really red and as zmirek said,
it's probably owing to both diet and selective breeding.
On the other hand, i have never seen any wild caught
Gib showing this kind of colouration (pale orange, yellow
one can be found everywhere BUT not the reddish orange)...
