A Borellii just wont eat

Hey guys

I'm having some trouble feeding my male Borellii. Today is the fifth day since he last ate (live food.) He refuses flakes and frozen live food. And only accepts live brine. He's a juvenile male with great colors and should be part of my community tank.

In short I need to find a staple food that he'll accept other than live brine because A, I cant afford to feed my entire community soley live food. And B, a diet of soley live food will eventually lead to problems as we all know.

In short, I'd like to know what your apisto accept besides live and frozen food?

there are some flakes that are made from brine shrimp, you could try those. Ocean Nutrition is one of the brands that makes them, I think.
I feed mine on Ocean Nutrition flakes and New Life Spectrum and haven't had any problems.

Hi all,
If you can get a Grindal Worm culture it will help, they are very easy and cheap to maintain. I usually add a small scrape of Grindal Worms and the new food, and that usually gets the fish eating both. I thing a live food is much more efficient at eliciting the feeding response in the fish, and Grindals, Daphnia or BBS are good for this as they are small and spread all around the tank.

And B, a diet of soley live food will eventually lead to problems as we all know.

I think your fine if you feed a variety of live foods, I've had a lot of fish that have lived and bred successfully but have never eaten any non-live food.
