edit: the fish were misidentified where i bought them, i have now id'ed them as borrelli sp. paraguensis, due to the turquoise spackling on the gills and behind, on the male.
i picked up a trio of these yesterday, and i am under the impression that these are cooler water fish, is that true? what water parms are best for them? i would like to put a tank together with my twig cats, beckford's pencilfish and these, and would like to keep the water cooler, like maybe 75 deg. also, what biotope are these from? i would like this tank to be a really dark rooty biotope. (i guess everyone wants a real biotope tank at some time or another. -sand, rocks, lottsa roots and driftwood, soft water so stained with peat you can't see the back, and no plants, just dimmer lighting. does this sound right? no other fish will be in there, just these.
i need to figure out how i am going to provide caves for the cats and for the dwarfs as well, but i'll figure that out.
