A. barlowi -differences between two variants-

I bought 15 months ago 8 A. barlowi from Chris (Amazon Tropicals). They turn to be 4 pairs!!

I believe they`re all the "blanco" (white) variant.


A month ago I bought 20 (very small) A. barlowi directly from an importer. Yesterday, I observed them very carefully while displaying and I guess they´re the "rojo" (red) variant.

Despite there´re very little literature about these variants, I think the differences are:
1) The "rojo" (red) variant has more red markings on the cheek.
2) While displaying, the face, nostrill zone and throat of the "rojo" (red) variant turns very dark (almost black).


Am I right?, is there any more differences between them?

TomC found the 2 color forms are different populations. They occur in different loctions.
