I have a pair of borelli's in a 10g tank that spawned. The fry should be about to the stage where mom brings them out of the cave. I first saw eggs on 3-20. She has been barricaded in the cave this whole time. Today she is coming out to attack the male every time she sees him.

just read that apistos need nitrate free water. I thought witrh a planted tank you needed nitrates? It seems almost a contradiction. Hopefully I will be getting some tomorrow. So do I Need to do a bid water change and get the nitrates down? I just added some last night since they were at zero.
