I took a short video of my apistogramma panduro fry my wild caught pair just had. To make a long story short, I had a pair that spawned. The female jumped a few days after. I bought a new female and they finally spawned about a month ago, but she ate them. This is round 2 of my new pair!
I am not currently taking the fry out. I'm letting them learn how to get it right. I usually let the parents raise the fry until they get a little size then catch them out. The apistogramma cacatuoides aren't there yet lol. My tank is 10 gallons with a male and two females. I have a little male...
Or there is tropi quatics in Lombard they would at least be able to order you anything. I've never been there personally but I've heard good things from other guys.
I've got apistogramma cacatuoides fry all the time, but I'm out in dekalb and the parents keep eating them. Aquarium adventure in Hoffman estates occasional has apistogramma cacatuoides and agassizii though
I believe that species of the same complex can interbreed. Trisfasitaca and nijessni aren't in the same complex and can't hybridize. Why would you want to hybridize the fish though?
She's got caves, just being an odd fish. Maybe they aren't tight enough? Ive wanted to get some coconuts for a while now, maybe I'll look into them more.
