I have 3 large bookshelves (6' x 4') full of aquarium books. I've never checked to see how much of it is dwarf cichlid only. Hmmm, I guess I have only 7 books totally dwarf cichlid related.

Congrats! I won't be seeing this behaviour myself as me 'female' decided to grow some tail fin extensions and show me that she was a he after over a year! Three males will not get me any fry. Will have to look out for more I guess.
All my fish go for flakes and tetrabits. They also go for pellets (mainly NLS). I can't say that any of them refuse their food. Fish that get too picky tend not to last too long in my tanks unless I REALLY like them.
You can use it if you like, but to me it's mainly a waste of money unless like I said before you're removing meds or smells.
I haven't used carbon in any of my 30+ tanks for over 10 years.
It's one of those things you can decide to use or not. Either way isn't bad.
Is there any reason you are using the carbon to begin with? You really don't need it unless your water stinks or you need to remove medications from the water imho.
I don't think it's something really new. Black cheeks have been around for at least 20-30 years, and probably a lot longer for me to be able to have found them near me. There are many really cool varieties now, eumos, and others that are making the birds look reddish (orangebreasted), and others...
Seems like a lot of fish people keep alot of other animals as well.
Here's a baby BC zebra we bred.
I have to ask though... Is Eeyore guarding the fish supplies?
I also cannot see your images. You need to be a member of AC for them to be visible. I used to be a member many years ago, but it appears they have cleared out their database.
A good choice to post your pictures to is www.photobucket.com

Bit hard to do that now. It's been up and running with fish in it for a while. I need a suggestion of a plastic background or similar now. Seeing the wall behind the tank is not my ideal looking tank.
We recently got a 70 gallon curved front glass aquarium for a really good deal. I had told myself I would never again buy a tank that's 30" high. So... I do!
At any rate, I'm looking for suggestions for the background. I'm not really looking to get a 3D type one on the inside. I would like a...

I don't feel so bad now. I have tried so often to get a pic of my male and it's almost impossible to get a pic, let alone a good one! I have taken hundreds of pics of my guy and this is the best I got!
pH sounds similar to where I am, but I don't know how hard your water is. I've spawned several Apisto (and other dwarf) species in our local water including cacatuoides, borellii, norberti, and Nannacara anomala.
