Alestopetersius Brichardi "Cherry Red Congo Tetra" And Nigropterus " Orange Flash Tetra"

Moderator: please move to buy/sell I'm interested also. I saw some red congos on aquabid before (but none now). I got 4 between October and January. Unfortunately 3 died (after 6 weeks quarrantine). Just have on male happily in my 75 with regular congos and rainbows.

    Snail Eaters for Apisto Tank

When my rams were still alive, my Colomesus asellus would eat snails and leave the rams alone. I still have discus in the tank with the puffers (and no snails). Not sure how these would do with outer apistos.

    West African fish lovers rejoice!

Some of the pics doing a google image search of P. aurantiacus look like Alestopetersius brichardi. So yes, maybe we're talking about different tetras (the joy of common names)

    5 foot biotopish!

Love the tank. Hate the orchid. Phaleanopsis come from south east asia. Try a cattleya, or better yet a phragmapedium (they can grow with "wet feet").

    crypto's dying

Could be the water company added something to your water that the caused the crypt melt. Usually around this time, they may switch from chlorine to chloramine (or is it the other way around?); they could be adding other stuff to the water.
