    ID Confirmation please!!!

Without knowing the catch location I can't confirm the ID, but if I had to make a guess, it would be D24 too.

What fish is this or what fish is it related to ?

It's in fact a new species. Mike, Tom and I have already discussed about it last year, but as it seems without adding it to the species list.

    Species id request ?

I would probably put the other female into the tank with these two and would closely watch what happens.

    Species id request ?

Yes the caudal spot in A. wolli males is supposed to be round(ish) (but of course, caudal spots can be quite variable). Apart from this, A. wolli usually show two rows of abdominal spots, often along the whole body, whereas Ladislao show some streaks/spots which are mostly restricted to the...

They are both females and I see nothing that speaks against them being A. macmasteri.

    Species id request ?

Are these the same fish as in this thread? If so, I can't say anything else than I already did there. If it's other fish: the male seems to have a patterned caudal fin, so it can be any of the Ladislao-like species with the exception of A. sp. Amaya. The female doesn't show enough black markings...

    D39 male or female ?

I still think that it's a male, because I have never seen a female showing any red markings on the gill cover, let alone at this small size.

    which species

Sometimes the trade names fishes after the export stations from which they came. So if the fish were collected by a Brazilian fischermen who brought them to Santa Isabel, this could be a possible explanation, however not a very likely one imo.

    which species

The picture shows A. lineata, a species from the Rio Atabapo in Colombia.

Any experience with a. norbeti ?

Don't worry it's A. norberti. Like the display of all black markings, that of the zigzag abdominal stripes too, depends on the mood of the fish.

Question about difference between Apistogramma sp.Breitbinden and Apistogramma Megaptera

    A. sp. Breitbinden is the same species as A. piaroa. "Breitbinden" is just the common name of the species that was in use before it had been scientifically described as A. piaroa.
