Hello,
I just got word that my LFS have got A.Borellii, but they are juveniles. As I already have 2 males, I need some females for them.

Please give me some tips on what to look for to increase my chances of getting females.

Thank you very much for all the input!

If they are juveniles, I doubt that you will be able to sex them accurately. I would buy 6 specimens, more of the medium to smaller sized fish. Also avoid any specimens with a lot of red or blue markings on the head.

Thank you very much Mike. I bought 5 pieces and now I'll be waiting for them to grow. I'll keep you posted.

Hi all,
Also avoid any specimens with a lot of red or blue markings on the head......are you referring to injuries?
No, I think Mike just means that these colourful ones are likely to be males, as in the picture. Picture from "the Krib" for older readers
