Hi guys,

These guys were sold to me as A. Megaptera, but I'm fairly confident that's not it. This male is about 3-3,5 cm right now. My guess would definitely be in the iniridae group, maybe A. Uaupesi or A. Sp. Blutkehl?
The male shows the black markings on the stomach most of the time, they usually disappear when displaying. The female has those markings as well, but they seem to be less intense in colour.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

He doesn't like the camera very much, but hopefully the quality and features are good/visible enough. All pics show the same male.

My guess would be A. sp. Blutkehl but I'm not 100% sure from these pictures. Please show some more pictures of male and female when not displaying. The black markings on the abdomen are the crucial feature here.

I don't think they are Blutkehl but i can't put my finger on it - i know there are several similar fishes like lineata and d51. One of the pictures has the lower bar marks which I think eliminate several of the species but it looks different than the B's i own (if in fact i own B's).

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
