    based on the picture given, It looks like a. pulchra... definitely not aggie female... From the picture itself and what mine look like, I'd go to say it's a young male pulchra! the coloration in the face and the caudal fin with the markings is a fair giveaway that it is a male pulchra.

    hey, i just wanted to share a few pictures.. got them about a few months back and they are wild fish. I believe they are A. cf. pulchra or chingarno. I have 9 fish of which i have 4 pairs and 1 false male (i believe.) thanks for looking.

    hello ste1982, any substrate would be ok, in most cases, but with apistos, the smaller or finer, usually means the better. most apistos will sift the substrate for food. some of your options are : silica sand, in the finest grain you can find. - make sure you really rinse this stuff...
