Baby Apistogrammas

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I have many Apistogrammas in my fishroom. I recently brought some Apistogramma Baenschi and Borellii fry off a local breeder, I'm just trying to work out how old they are and when there parents laid eggs etc. just wanted to know if anyone could help

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like the easiest would be to ask the breeder you got them from.
I imagine it would be fairly hard to tell without knowing feeding regime, tanksize, waterchange etc. basically all husbandry from the breeder.

I've tried lol but they don't know either lol all I got told was when the pics where taken they where this old. But I like to keep tabs on how old fry are.
The Apistogrammas Baenschi where 2 weeks old on the 4th December
And the borellii where a week old on the 18th December.
Just would like to know when the parents would of laid eggs, to them hatching and then becoming wrigglers to free swimming.

At typical temperatures it take about a week from egg laying to freeswimming fry. Now, when did the breeder see them, when they first became freeswimming fry or a week or two later???

I would say they noticed when they were free swimming

That could be quite young. What are you feeding them? Fresh hatched baby brine shrimp seemed to be the only thing that added bulk in a reasonable amount of time in my fry.
