First apistos! What do I have here??

Hello! After doing some reading up on this site about care I decided to dive in with my first apistos. I picked up this Agasizzii Tefe Male and this other mystery "male". It was tagged as a "borelli blue", which to me it doesn't look like at all, so I'm not sure what it is. Is it even a male?

Yeah, I would need to properly see the shape of the caudal of the other one, but the dorsal says wild-type A. cacatuoides male.

If they show aggression towards each other separate them, Apistos can be real beasts.

Your "agassizii Tefe" male is either A. sp. Tefe or one of the A. sp. aff. agassizii (Netz/net) forms, better pictures are needed to be sure. Your mystery fish is a male A. trifasciata.

Allright, I was hoping you'd clear that up, because I was not sure unless I saw the caudal.

Really! Trifasciata was on my short list of apistos I wanted to start off with, now I'm excited to see it get more comfortable. I had to drive quite a ways from home to pick up these guys...
