What would you say about this fish? The smaller one could well be a younger male.
Depends a bit on overall size but those petral fins sure make it look like a ms; or is it how the picture was taken that is causing them to loose visibility in the picture ?What would you say about this fish?
The body shape looks more female. But not easy to tell in that trap. What would you say about this fish?
Pics I took a long time ago as well as from my friend Helen. I miss the old thejrib site. The body shape looks more female. But not easy to tell in that trap.
Here is one more picture of the same fish.View attachment 17138

This is 2 malesHer er mine to fisk. Er det en M og en F eller to hanner? Den minste ble erklært å være en hunn, men jeg er ikke sikker.
And the one in the last comment picture? This is 2 males
Ah. That's like a half of the bigger male, an inch I'd say. I will try to catch it on picture once it is less stressed, I just put it into the tank with completely different water parametersYou still haven't given size. It could be a female or immature male. Also the lack of black markings on the flanks (becoming more commonly seen on domestic fish) makes it even harder to discern which sex the fish is.
the smaller fish from my last comment is around 1in, 1 1/4in max. It is significantly smaller then the one on my original pair pictureIs the fish an inch long or an inch shorter than the larger fish? Actual measurement would be very helpful.

Seems no reason to wait until it gets more clear and better to look for one or few femalesLooks more male than female to me.
Oh I wrote that two replies above. Around 1 or 1 1/4inch or 25-30mm.Length of the fish in question, in inches or centimeters, would really help.
BTW yesterday night or morning the bigger male just jumped out. That's the second panduro jumping out. The first one was a smaller one just after the transition to a soft blackwater tank with no lid and few plants that is in process of being converted into a ro blackwater one so I'm adding Then I added plants and a lid. There was just a half of an inch by 3in gap near the hob filter. He managed to jump through it. Thats crazy. 2 of 3 fish escaped. Yesterday I saw them running up and down. I checked the water, no ammonia, nitrates, 26C.Length of the fish in question, in inches or centimeters, would really help.
