My aggies have stopped breeding. They kept spawning every couple weeks in late winter and early sprint. Now male is not even chasing her very much. I guess they need some rest.

Although I believe environmental elements (pressure, etc.) influence apistos in our tanks, they really don't have a breeding season in the captive environment. As long as the perms remain constant and your temp or water levels do not change dramatically, the factors that will determine whether they breed or not are more a matter of daily regimens. Water changes, food, tank cleaning and restructuring, tankmate and partner additions or changes, etc. If you fish are not breeding, try something a little deifferent to stir things up!
