I got a fish from brazil. But i dont know this Ap. ID.
please, tell me the Ap. ID(A and B).

I have question. The A is got from brazil export. Masken is brazil(?)

and look at the A40, A41 (A.sp Parati). Is it similar from my B pictures?

It is always possible that I am wrong. I do make mistakes. Additional photos showing the fish in different moods are always helpful.

I only know of 2 species of the regani-complex that do not have banded tails & come from Brazil. One is A. gossei, but your (A) fish appears to be different. The other fish is very similar to A. sp. Masken. It is A. cf. sp. Masken (Juruá), also called A. sp. Eirunepé. To my knowledge this fish has never been imported into the hobby. Photos of this species were published only once in: Bleher, Heiko. 1999. Jungle walk. aqua geõgraphia. 18: 32-35. There is always the possibility that your Masken-like fish came from Peru. Brazilian & Peruvian exporters do trade among each other from time to time.

A. sp. Parati & sp. Xingu are closely related, but Parati has a broad, indistinct abdominal band. Your fish, like A. sp. Xingu, has abdominal bands composed of 1 or 2 rows of spots.
