Hi all,
Chris agreed, she is beautiful. Do you have a picture of the male? and any husbandry information?
I know ApistoBob has some pictures and information on the similar? A. xingu. A37 <http://www.dwarfcichlid.com/Apistogramma_xingu.php>. and there are a few pictures in Stawikowski, et al. "S. A. Dwarf Cichlids", but I haven't found a lot otherwise.
Please do not judge the dirty glass or poor photo quality. I had an opportunity to get a picture of a very shy fish and took it. The female keeps the male at quite a distance when she is tending. It was a fluke that he ended up in the front of the tank.
I am keeping these fish in a very low pH 5.0-5.25, 77-78f, low conductivity 30-40, with daily water changes of 25-30% and live food only.
