Hi all,
http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/algae.htm this is a guide I've used and has served me well.
I like James' pages as well, there is also a good guide to making your own fertiliser mixes and a very useful comparisons of the look of different T5 lamps. He recently told me that he is moving away from using high CO2 levels and EI (Estimative Index) dosing and experimenting with a more low tech. approach.

cheers Darrel

I've successfully kept all sorts of Apistos in my HiTech tanks, but found if I want broods, usually a more acidic, blackwater condition induces spawning and eventual fry. If you are not interested in breeding, HiTech Planted is ok for them, as they do have remarkable colours and personality.
