Why don't you think they're macs??

I think what the dorsal fin and anal fin , this looks different in men by the dorsal ray and the color of the face and the operculum

There are several different color variants/populations of A. macmasteri, so color isn't really important in identification of this species. Although the photos aren't great, I don't see anything to make me think they aren't A. macmasteri.
