Suggested additions to my community tank?

Hi everyone. I came across your forum the other day and think it is wonderful. I need some advice. I want to add some more dwarf cichlids to my existing 20g high community tank. It currently houses: 3 guppies, 6 zebra danios, 1 albino cory cat, 3 dwarf flag cichlids (Laetacara Curviceps), and 1 black mystery snail. As of yet, there are no aggression issues in the tank. Filtration is not really an issue, as I have a 60g Marineland Bio-wheel. I am wanting to eventually switch over to a cichlid-only tank, but do not have anywhere to take my other residents. Any suggestions on what I can ad in the meantime? Thanks so much!

Hi Kristin, welcome to the forum.

I don't have good news for you. Your 20H tank is small for a cichlid tank. It probably already has the maximum number of cichlids in it. Cichlids are more territorial than most other fish and require a good amount of individual space. If 2 of your curviceps pair off and start thinking of breeding, the odd curviceps might have problems. If you have both sexes, it will be hard to have a community of fish without some problems with aggression.
