Staying logged in

Iam a member on a few forums, but here I seem to have a problem staying logged in. When I go away for a few minutes and come back. I notice that Iam not signed in. I have tried leaving my browser open but it doesn't make a difference. Is there a solution? I have the latest version of Firefox if that helps any.

when you log in next tick the box that say remember me
if yo already have the prehas you have cookies disabled on your system
