Size fish tank?

Probably depends on the species; but as long as it's a 48" x 18" footprint, with lots of cover, I think you could probably get away with it.
It's been my experience though, in that size tank, I typically end up with one male and two females, again, depending on species.

What do you have in mind?

A 50 gallon would be sufficient for almost any pair of apisto. You'll still want to ensure there are different areas with plenty of hiding places.

I've had pretty good luck with otos. I think hatchet fish would be a good choice for them; just realize that if the apistos spawn that the hatchetfish may prey upon the fry.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
