About two months ago, I bought what I was told was a male and a female Apistograma macmasteri. They look very different, and the one that I believe is a female has much rounder fins and is brighter in color. For the past few days, it has been occasionally chasing the male, and often fanning/hitting him with her tail. The male has been hiding for much of the day, and seldom leaves cover. Could this fish (pictured below) actually be a male, or is this some kind of breeding behavior?
