Trying to figure out how to tell a male from a female, are the tales the same?
Who guards the cave in this case, the male or female, and is aggressive?
All male A. agassizii develop a spade/lance shaped tail. Females' are round to oval. Both sexes will defend their personal territory/cave and both can be more aggressive than the other depending on different factors: courting or breeding/brooding.
