One Big Eyed Female Cacatu

Hello all

I have a nice pair of cacatu and one time they have been breed... Now female one has a bigger one eye (left one), the other one is normal. They haven't breed for 2 months. She has no problem for food, she is having an appetite. Is there anyone who could help me about this stuation? What should I do to make my female cacatu's eye healthy again...any suggestion

If the eye is clear, but appears to be bulging out (making it look larger), this is evidence of internal pressure, probably due to a buildup of fluids behind the eye. This can be a symptom caused my a few different factors. Unfortunately, it can be hard to treat. Could be viral, could be bacterial, maybe even protazoan. It's never a bad idea to do some water changes to bring water parameters into an ideal state. This will help the fishes immune system function at it's best. Viral can't be cured, so if you want to focus on treating it, you might try something for bacteria or protazoans. Meds would best be done in a quarantine tank, if possible.
