Newbie seeks advice

I have three small tanks .... In them I have two bettas one male one female, three white clouds( female I think) , three preacox rainbows( one known male and femal and I think one sub male), pymeaous cory( female) and pitbull pleco( male I think)... I have been fish keeping for a bit over a year and a half...

I have a new ten gallon tank and am looking at apistos to put in the tank... recommendations??


I dont know h20 hardness the ph is about 6.8

Hello, a ten gallon tank is a bit small for apistos. Even though they are small, many times they do require quite a large space... but having that said, there are plenty of reasonable apistos that would do fine in a 10 gallon and spawned in them also. A. borellii is a great candidate for a tank that size as I have bred and kept them in a 2 1/5gallon tank. You're water has near perfect conditions for them also. Apistogramma eunotus is also a good candidate.

Apistt_ed is right that A. borellii is a great candidate.
Other candidates which come to my mind include
A. Agassizii, A. Pulchra, A. Pertensis, and A. Trifasciata.
