macmasteri vs vejita

I've been trying to spawn a beautiful pair of panduros for 9 months now (got fertile eggs several times, but no free swimmers). Well yesterday the male managed to jump out of a 2X3 hole in the tanks plexiglass top and get stuck between the top and the hood. Fish chip! What a waste. I'm pretty bummed, but trying to look on the bright side. Is there any difference in ease of breeding between macmasteri and vejita? The tank is only a 10g but heavily planted with extensive caves. I also have a place to remove male to if trouble arises later. Water is soft via RO, but have trouble lowering ph because I used black slate to build the caves (might tear it out if neccessary). Any advice?

ps Almost forgot, I also have access to nijsseni and agassizii also. I'm just looking for something that I won't have to go super acidic, or wait another 9 months to see some action.

You shouldn't have any trouble breeding macmasteri, viejita or agasizzii. My favourites from them are the agas expecially nice coloured ones.

nijsseni could be easy like the first pair I had 10 years ago or very difficult like any others I've had since.

among all the fish you named, i think agassizii is the easiest one to breed ^.^
