Looking for a pH meter.

I am planning to purchase a pH meter and do away with the chemical tests. However, I have no idea what to look for and what to expect. I realize that most of you have years of experience with these gadgets and can help me pick something good. I do not know if you can mention brand names, etc..
If any one can help I am all ears (actually "all eyes").

We use this brand a lot where I work. I work for a Biotech company and we use a lot of "Highly Purified Water" which is just a 7 stage RO with a UV and a few other bits as well.

They are pricy to get direct, you can get them for much less through a dealer.

What about a combo meter (pH, TDS, EC)

With the same intention, getting rid of regent bottles and test strips I went ahead and purchased a Milwaukee SM-802 which reads pH and additionally, TDS and EC, that is, hardness (Total Dissolved Solids) in ppm and Conductivity in millisiemens. I still use Mardel 5 in 1 test trips to compare and for the Nitrite and Nitrate reading as well as direct alkalinity. It automatically compensates temperature when producing a reading.

It runs for between $110 and $150.

Thanks for the input. I was over whelmed with all the advertising and nubers available. Some one suggested to get a pH meter that tests the pH for ground (earth) from places like Lowes or HD.
