Less aggressive apisto?

Hello,
Would somebody be so good as to suggest a few of the less aggressive apistogramma, that would tolerate living with GBR. I currently have a male GBR & a male Apistogramma cacatuoide, but as you would expect, the apisto lords it over the ram.Would it be best adding another GBR to the tank (300ltr community). There is plenty of cover & hiding places. Was offered a baenschi, but have read that they can be a more aggressive dwarf, but was hoping maybe an Agassizi would be possible.I don't want to sound like i am just adding whatever, as i do research each fish best i can. Help much appreciated.

Personally, I really prefer putting rams with other species that prefer warmer (82°F/28°C minimum) water. Most apistos prefer cooler temperatures. If you're willing to accept that the apistos will age a bit faster than normal, then the best species would be those of the A. pertensis/iniridae-groups. Personally, in a 300 l tank, I think 4-5 different rams would be a better choice, or Dicrossus filamentosus or Taeniacara candidi. Any of these are less likely to bother your ram and handle higher temperatures better.
