Laetacara Dorsigera Eggs

My pair laid a lovely bunch of eggs...A lot of them turned white, and fungused. Is this a normal learning experience for a young pair, or is something amiss?

Both are a possibility. You may have too much current in your tank (unlikely). Then the male could still be young and not very adept as fertilizing the eggs.
