I got one pair of these back in 2007. They where sold as Peixoto, my female died soon after I got them so I would like to try and get more since I'm getting back into apistos again

I was looking at the Dazt book and I'm thinking the fish I had where A38 A. sp. Vielfleck.

Thanks for any help with a ID or a source for more of these fish.

Both "A. sp. Vielfleck" and "A. sp. affin. Peixoto" (not A. sp. Peixoto, which is a different species altogether) are both forms of A. sp. Xingu. I have to agree with Derek. Your fish look more like Vielfleck than sp. affin. Peixoto. Most wild specimens are imported under the name A. sp. Vielfleck. Most domestically produced specimens are sold as either Vielfleck of sp. affin. Peixoto - or, erroneously, as just Peixoto.
