I'm considering setting up a west african semi-biotope tank. The tank would be a 20 high with either a pair of kribs or P. subocellatus or another pelvichromis species as well as an african butterfly fish for the top area of the tank. The tank would also be heavily planted. With the exception of a clown pleco or rubber pleco for algae control, the dwarf cichlids and butterfly fish would be the only other fish.
My question is would this work out OK or would the dwarf cichlid rip the butterfly fish apart?
If kribs wouldn't work would A. thomasai?
