keeping A. panduro & A. borellii in same tank

I am wanting to keep Apistogramma borellii and Apistogramma panduro in the same tank. Do you all think this will work. It is a 75 gallon currently housing rainbows.

Hi all,
You may be able to, depending upon the floor area and how much cover there is in the tank. A. panduro is a bigger and more aggressive fish and you may find that your pair won't tolerate the A. borellii at the bottom of the tank.

are you going to keep these? they may be all right with A. borellii, which is tolerant of harder water with a higher pH, but A. panduro needs soft, acidic water, and if the water is soft enough for the Apistos, most rainbows require much harder water.
